Easy DIY Suede Wraparound Necklace

Make this easy DIY suede wraparound necklace in less than ten minutes! No tools are needed, so it couldn't be simpler.

Here are all the supplies you'll need to make the wraparound pendant necklace.

Supplies needed:

64-inch length of 1/8-inch suede lace (you can buy a 25-yard spool on Amazon)

1 semi-precious stone donut, one-inch in diameter (use a larger donut, if you prefer a bigger pendant)

2 large-hole 8mm glass beads (metal beads, such as sterling or brass could be substituted)

Cut the ends of the 64-inch strand of suede lace diagonally. String a large-hole glass bead about 1 1/2 inch from one end.

Next, tie a simple overhand knot below the bead.

Now, tighten the knot.

Make an overhand knot on the other side of the bead. You will need to pull through the entire length of the suede lace through the loop to do this.

Tighten the knot so that it's snug against the bead.

Repeat on the other end of the suede strand so that there's a knotted bead on each end.

The next step is to fold the strand in half to find the center.

Push the center of the strand through the stone donut to form a loop.

Insert the two beaded ends of the suede strand through the loop.

Next, pull the ends all the way through the loop, making sure the donut is centered on the suede strand, to make a knot on the donut.

Tighten the knot, which will look a bit different on the two sides.

Your necklace is complete!

I used a rose quartz donut, pink glass beads, and black suede lacing, but any color combination you like works just fine. Wear the necklace as a wraparound, long or short, or as one long necklace tied in the back.
